Yahoo: Could Chamillionaire's 'Good Morning' Spark An Anti-Dis Rap Trend

Nothing beats a good hip-hop dis record. There is something about the energy between the feuding artists that births some of their most creative, comical yet ruthless material.

But in all honestly, since the rivalry fueled deaths of the Notorious and Tupac, I've been concerned that rappers take the heated exchanges too seriously.

Texas lyricist Chamillionaire tries an appreciated reverse approach to battle rapping on his latest single, "Good Morning," the first song from his album, "Venom," due out February 2.

Instead of attacking a nemesis, Chamillionaire pledges to "send all his haters love." He opens the chorus with a sincere charismatic "Good morning haters" before crediting Ice Cube's like-minded '90s favorite "It Was A Good Day" as an influence.

The video finds Chamillionaire consumed by his lavish hip-hop star lifestyle. He's surrounded by beautiful women, drives a fancy sports car, and is lauded by handlers and media.

He is a bit too thankful for the great things happening in his life to be distracted by naysayers.

We could use more hip-hop songs like this.

Chamillionaire, whose track "Ridin'" was parodied by Weird Al and transformed to "White & Nerdy," isn't the first rapper in recent years to take a different approach to spewing steam.

Last year, New York rapper Maino released a song literally called "Hi Haters" that conveyed the same sentiment. Maino's record had more of a street edge and even included an All-Star remix featuring the likes of Swizz Beatz, T.I., Plies, Jadakiss, and Fabolous.

Hopefully, these tracks will spark an anti-dis rap trend.

Hey everyone, for those that don't know me I am known as DIGIJEFF and I do all the digital / online web stuff for Chamillionaire.  I was in the caption picture with over 700 comments of people making fun of me to win a copy of mixtape messiah 7 (don't worry I thought it was funny! haha).

Alright with that introduction said, I would like to introduce something that I been working on for all you iPhone users.  We have just launched a mobile version of the site.  Now right now all mobile users can view this, but it's made for the newer phones like iPhones & Google Android smart phones.  Will there be a version coming out that will be compatible for all phones? Possibly, but seeing how Chamillionaire and myself both use the most popular phone out in the market, the iPhone, we decided to build the mobile version based on that.

The mobile version can be viewed in your mobile browser using this address:
